Before You Come In
The whole checklist is two items. Getting them right is the difference between one trip and two.
Checklist
A valid government-issued photo ID and your ORI number. That's it. A driver's license is the best form of ID to bring because our barcode reader pulls your details directly off it in AAMVA format — faster intake and no transcription errors on your name or date of birth.
The ORI is the one people arrive without, and it's the one that matters most. It identifies the agency that requested your screening and routes your results to them. Printed without one, or under the wrong one, your submission goes nowhere while your file shows nothing received.
Bring These
Unexpired driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. A driver's license is fastest — we read the barcode.
From your employer, licensing board, or application packet. Call us if you can't find it.
Optional but useful. It usually contains the ORI and confirms which screening type applies.
The sheet whoever sent you gave you. It usually names the ORI and any route-specific requirement.
Card or cash at the counter. Employer accounts can be invoiced.
If you're being reprinted after a rejection, bring the notice so we can see what was flagged.
Practical
Fingerprint quality depends on ridge detail, and ridge detail depends on the condition of your fingertips. Heavy manual work, gardening, cleaning chemicals, and very dry skin all degrade it. If you work with your hands and can pick your day, come in at the start of a shift rather than the end of one.
Very dry hands are the most common quality problem we see, and it's easily fixed — moisturize the night before. Musicians, climbers, and people in the trades occasionally have genuinely worn ridges, in which case we work through it carefully rather than rushing the capture. It's a known situation and it's manageable.
FAQ
A current, unexpired government-issued photo ID — a driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. It must not be expired, and the name should match your application.
We can't capture you on an expired ID. Renew it first, or bring a different unexpired government photo ID.
Not required, but helpful. It usually contains the ORI and settles any ambiguity about which screening type applies.
Call (561) 570-6006 before you book. We can often identify it from the agency and screening type, and it's a two-minute conversation that prevents the most common mistake in this process.
Heavy manual work, gardening, or anything that dries or abrades your fingertips can degrade ridge detail. If your hands are very dry, moisturizing the night before genuinely helps the capture.
Yes. Bring whoever you like — and if you're bringing a group, call ahead so we can schedule it as a block rather than a queue.
Two things: a valid government-issued photo ID and your ORI number. A driver's license is ideal because our reader pulls your details straight off the barcode. If you have the instruction sheet from whoever requested your screening, bring that too — it usually lists the ORI and any route-specific requirement.
A valid photo ID and your ORI number are all you need for a fingerprinting appointment. You do not need to bring anything printed or prepare a photo — we capture everything, including the Clearinghouse photo where the route requires one, at the appointment. Call ahead if you cannot find your ORI and we will usually help locate it.
Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, Saturday noon-5pm at 500 S Australian Ave, Suite 634. Call (561) 570-6006 and we'll confirm a slot.
